We were putting Annalise to bed for the night. Doing the nightly routine of night-night kisses, going to the bathroom, negotiating over how many books to read, etc. However, this night Annalise wasn’t too excited about going to bed. At the end of the story she started asking about not going to bed. I told her that it was time to go to sleep, that we know it’s time to goto sleep when the sun goes down and it gets dark. Well. After getting down off my lap and on her way to get in bed, she detours to the window, looks outside and emphatically says, ‘Wake up sun!!!’.
