Annalise’s Three Week Doc Appt

Annalise had her three week checkup today. She weighed in at 9lbs 6ozs and measured 21.5″ long. This puts her in the 75th percentile for all measurements. Now… if she was actually born on her due date she’d be in the 100th percentile right now. 😆

What Sleep Deprevation Can Do

Welp. This morning started out good. Woke up promptly at 6am. Showered and got ready. I didn’t have to iron because I did that the night before. Changed Annalises diaper and gave her to Mommy for her breakfast and headed out the door by 7:15am.

Woot! I was on time finally after late starts because of Annalise’s feeding/sleeping schedule messing with my sleep.

Things were looking good. Got in my car and drove off. Tuned it into the Sky as I was pulling out of the neighborhood and he’s talking about having to work on a holiday. WHAT!!!! That’s right, I got spiffed up, tie and everything, just to take the trash out this morning. UF was closed, I didn’t have to go in to work.

Our Own Personal Bobble-Head Doll

It’s amazing. Annalise isn’t even supposed to be born yet and she is strong enough to start excercising her neck muscles. You can’t really hold her on your shoulder without holding her head because she immediately starts trying to lift her head to look around. When she does this, it wobbles around a bit and then flops down wherever its weight takes it. You could call her our own personal bobble-head doll.

Hello? God? You in there?

Connor is at the age that he gets into endless series of asking why sometimes. When we run out of answers or patience, whichever comes first, we tell him, “Maybe you can ask God one day.” Recently he did this, we ended with asking God, and he looked down at his chest and said really loud like he was trying to wake someone up, “Hello! God!”

Is she a sheep?

The other day Annalise got to crying really hard. When she does this she starts stutter-crying (waaaa-wa-a-a-a, waaaaa-wa-a-a-a). Connor heard this and asked, ‘Is she a sheep?’. We could do nothing but laugh. And now whenever she does it, I can’t help but smile. I have visions of being in Target with Annalise crying really hard like this and smiling/laughing a bit… with people watching thinking they should call Child Protective Services because we are sadistic parents or something.
